Information collector and abstract expressionist. I practice intuitive expressive movement followed by guided growth through painting (gouache and ink). Painting process begins with a spontaneous fluid movement to lay the composition framework, creating spatial information which is then processed, allowing the piece to speak and invite choices. A conversation is had and choices are made in agreement without force. Unintentional actions or "mistakes" become opportunities for organic growth and are celebrated. The mind imagines rules as the piece grows and leaves a history of rules followed, broken, and changed all in an effort to create peaceful balance.
